“Why does this keep happening?”
Sometimes it feels as if the same experience keeps returning.
The same kind of relationship.
The same anger.
The same grief.
The same fear.
You may find yourself thinking,
“Why am I here again?”
I tend to see it differently.
A signal does not mean you’ve taken the wrong path.
When difficult emotions arise, it’s easy to assume that something has gone wrong.
But perhaps a signal is not pointing to a mistake.
Perhaps it is quietly saying,
“It’s time to move to the next coordinate.”
Every coordinate has something to show you.
When I speak about “learning,”
I don’t simply mean learning more about the world.
I also mean learning more about yourself.
The part of you that was afraid.
The part that acted selfishly.
The part that felt ashamed.
The part that was deeply hurt.
The part you would rather not see—
or let anyone else see.
Perhaps every coordinate reveals another part of who you are.
The journey is not a straight line.
Life rarely moves in a straight line.
Sometimes we seem to return to familiar places.
Yet we are not standing in exactly the same coordinate.
Each time, we notice something different.
We understand something we couldn’t see before.
And little by little, our journey unfolds like a spiral.
To me, that is what it means to live.
A signal is not pushing you forward.
A signal is not there to blame you.
Nor is it there to force you to move on.
Perhaps it is simply telling you that, at this coordinate,
it is time to turn your attention toward yourself.
Only then does the next coordinate quietly appear.

If this perspective stays with you,
The Compass — 16 Coordinates for Observing Your Current Position
is an invitation to begin your journey again,
starting exactly where you are.
